Funcom, a Norwegian game development studio, has announced that its open-world multiplayer survival game " Dune: Awakening " will be released on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. A demo version with character creation and benchmark mode is now available.

Dune: Awakening," an open-world multiplayer survival game that was on display at the Level Infinite booth at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, is a highly anticipated game based on the world of the popular "Dune" novel series. In this exciting title based on the world of the popular "Dune" novel series, players will battle, gather food, and interact with NPCs and other players in order to survive in the harsh environment of "Arrakis.

When Saiga NAK interviewed producer Nils Ryborg, he gave us a lot of information about the game and revealed that Japanese subtitles will be available.

The release date for "Dune: Awakening" has been set for Tuesday, May 20, 2025! A trailer announcing the release date has also been released.

Character Creation & Benchmark Mode Now Available!

"Dune: Awakening" demo version for character creation and benchmarking is now available on Steam! Downloading the demo will give you a code to redeem a limited edition "Flame Blade Knife" skin that can be used in the game after the full version is released.

In the character creation mode, you can customize your character's appearance in detail, as well as set your home planet, caste, and mentor. Mentors are...

... and influence their abilities at the start of the game. However, all mentors will eventually be accessible, so it seems that you should not think too much about it and choose the right one for the direction you want to take in the early stages of the story.
