A new smartphone game developed by a partnership between COLOPL, Inc. and MIXI, Inc., Festibattle, has been announced.
In addition to the release of actual gameplay footage, recruitment for closed beta test participants has also begun.

New Smartphone Game Festibattle Announced
The new smartphone game Festibattle was announced during a program broadcast on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM.
The newly released first trailer showcases the evolution of gaming across generations, leading to the birth of Festibattle in 2024.
6-on-6 Team Action Battle
Festibattle features 6-on-6 team action battles.
The game includes four different sets of rules:
- Team Survival, where you fight until one team is wiped out
- Crystal Hunter, where you collect crystals
- Antenna Hack, where you capture bases
- Cannon Escort, where you protect a mobile gun platform
One of its main draws is the ease of play, with matches lasting about 5 minutes.
Attention to Character Expression
Noah, who appears in White Cat Project NEW WORLD'S, is one of the playable characters.
Players can control her as she fights using jellyfish-based motions and attack methods—features that were reportedly impossible to implement during her original debut due to technical limitations.
Oragon, from Monster Strike, also joins the fray.
He carries a smartphone and attacks using the signature pull-and-flick hunting style.
Actual Gameplay of Crystal Hunter
During the broadcast, actual gameplay was showcased by Development Producer Ryoji Tsunoda, Promotion Producer Hiroshi Asanuma, and guests Miki Hayakawa (@mikinyan1206) and Yunmi (@yuumis215).
Characters are equipped with two main types of skills: Action Skills and Ultimate Skills. Additionally, players can pick up and use two Draw Skills during a match, allowing them to fight using a total of four different skill types.
In the Crystal Hunter mode, players compete for crystals scattered across the map.
Partway through the match, a Mega Crystal worth five normal crystals appears, intensifying the battle.
When you collect crystals, they trail behind your character. However, as you carry more crystals, your movement speed decreases.
Protecting the teammates holding the most crystals is the key to victory.
Once a team secures 12 or more crystals, a 30-second countdown begins.
If the team can successfully defend their lead until the timer reaches zero, they win the match.
Members of the winning team perform a victory dance at the end of the game.
The player with the best performance is featured front and center during the celebration.
Closed Beta Test Participant Recruitment!

The application period is open until 5:00 PM on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Recruitment is limited to 10,000 participants.
