Riot Games, LLC announced the event overview and schedule for the League of Legends Japan League 2024 Spring Split (hereinafter, LJL 2024 Spring Split), the professional League of Legends league in Japan, which kicks off on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

LJL 2024 Spring Split Overview Announced
The 2024 LJL will enter the PCS ecosystem, centered in Southeast Asia. For the LJL 2024 Spring Split, teams will compete to be among the top 3 to advance to the PCS playoffs.
The regular season of the LJL 2024 Spring Split will proceed using a BO2 double round-robin format.
All teams will play each other twice. The winning team earns 3 points, a draw earns 1 point for each team, and the losing team gets 0 points. Total season points will determine the standings.
The top 4 teams will advance to the LJL playoffs to compete in a BO5 single-elimination format.
The team that wins the final will be the LJL 2024 Spring Split champion and will advance to the PCS playoffs along with the 2nd and 3rd place teams.
Regular Season: January 20 to February 18
- Duration: Saturday, January 20, 2024 – Sunday, February 18, 2024
- Time: 5:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 9:00 PM (JST)
The LJL has changed its tournament format nearly every year recently, but for the LJL 2024 Spring Split, each team will play two matches every Saturday and Sunday.
Fans can look forward to watching every team play on LJL game days. Because the BO2 format allows for draws, the match schedule will not deviate significantly.
Playoffs Start February 24
- Duration: Saturday, February 24, 2024 – Sunday, March 3, 2024
- Time: 6:00 PM (JST)
The LJL playoffs, featuring the top 4 teams from the regular season, will take place over 4 days and consist of 4 matches: two semifinals, a 3rd place match, and the final.
The prize money is 6 million JPY for the winner, 3 million JPY for the runner-up, and 1 million JPY for 3rd place, for a total of 10 million JPY.
