Nintendo announced the smartphone app, Mario Kart Tour, will end service on Sept. 29, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. PT / Sept. 30, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. CEST. Nintendo has already suspended sales of Rubies and the acceptance of new Gold Pass subscriptions, including automatic renewals.

Announcement of Mario Kart Tour Service Termination

Mario Kart Tour was the first title in the Mario Kart series designed for smartphones, launching in September 2019. Players can easily enjoy Mario Kart-style action on their smartphones, racing through unique courses inspired by global cities and classic tracks from the series. Nintendo later added these unique courses to the Nintendo Switch software, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, where they received positive reception.

The service will end on Sept. 29, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. PT / Sept. 30, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. CEST. This brings an end to its approximately 7-year history.

Nintendo has already suspended Ruby sales, new Gold Pass subscription sign-ups, and automatic renewals. Users can still use Rubies in the Spotlight Shop, Mii Suit Shop, and Coin Rush until the service ends. Please note there are no plans to release an offline version.
