Special Moves Are the Key to Victory! Vol. 41 Results Announced!
The results for the Famicom National Poll Vol. 41 "Which Game Had the Best Special Moves?" have been announced, and the top 20 rankings are now public on the Famicom 40th Anniversary Campaign Website!
Since these are works where special moves appear, there is an impression that many are action games, but the results show a mix of various genres including simulation, RPG, original titles, and those based on existing works.
In a close race with relatively tight vote percentages, 1st place went to Tag Team Match: M.U.S.C.L.E. with 12.3% of the votes!
Of course, it is based on the masterpiece Kinnikuman where many special moves appear, and special moves are set for each character within the game, and it also likely helps that the Kinnikuman generation and the Famicom generation are close in age.
This year also marks the 45th anniversary of Kinnikuman, and with the broadcast of a new anime scheduled for July 2024, a Kinnikuman fever is sure to break out!
From 2nd place onwards, many series titles have multiple entries ranked, such as the Kunio-kun series, the Hiryu no Ken series, the Captain Tsubasa series based on the legendary manga, and the Dragon Ball series, all of which feature numerous iconic special moves.
