On Thursday, January 16, 2025 (Japan time), Nintendo Corporation announced the successor to the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch 2.
"Nintendo Switch 2" will be released by the end of 2025.
Nintendo Co., Ltd. has officially announced "Nintendo Switch 2," the successor to the long-announced Nintendo Switch. The trailer suggests that the size of the LCD and Joy-Con (official name unknown) will be increased compared to the previous Nintendo Switch. The design has also been redesigned with a USB Type-C-like port on the top of the console.

Hands-on Experience to be Held in 15 Cities Around the World
Nintendo Switch 2" hands-on events are scheduled to be held in 15 cities around the world. In Japan, the event will be held on April 26 (Sat) and 27 (Sun), 2025 at Hall 9, 10, and 11 of Makuhari Messe. The regions where the hands-on sessions will take place are as follows

Applications for the Japan event can already be made through the "Nintendo Switch 2" Experience special page. Applications will close at 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, and the winner will be announced on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Since this is a large-scale hands-on event, with three halls of Makuhari Messe being rented out for two days, it is likely that there will be a large number of winners, but it is inevitable that there will be a fierce battle to win. Please keep your schedule open and apply before you forget!
