A special video has been released for the Mythical Pokémon, Pecharunt, which appears in the "Epilogue" of the paid expansion, "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero," for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, released on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
The protagonist explores the Land of Kitakami alongside their friends from the Academy—Arven, Penny, and Nemona—and new details have been revealed regarding the Mythical Pokémon, Pecharunt, who appears in the "Epilogue".

The Mythical Pokémon, Pecharunt, appears in the "Epilogue" of the paid expansion, "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero."
While Pecharunt has been lying in wait for the moment of its revival somewhere in the Land of Kitakami, details regarding its Ability and moves have finally been revealed.

Pecharunt creates "Binding Mochi" by rounding up the poison secreted from its shell, which it feeds to people and Pokémon to exert control over them using chains.
"Binding Mochi" is not only delicious but also possesses the effect of drawing out the desires and abilities dormant deep within those who consume it.
After using "Binding Mochi" to subjugate the Loyal Three and heading to the Land of Kitakami, Pecharunt battled Ogerpon over the masks. After being defeated, it retreated into its shell, and the locals eventually came to call it the "Never-Rotting Peach."
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
The Ability, Poison Puppeteer, is a new addition introduced in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
When Pecharunt’s moves poison or badly poison a target, the target also becomes confused.
Pecharunt's move: Malignant Chain
The move, Malignant Chain, which Pecharunt learns, involves firing poisonous chains to attack the opponent.
Following the attack, there is a chance the opponent may also be left badly poisoned.

The Untold Story of Pecharunt, which introduces the Mythical Pokémon Pecharunt, is now available on The Official Pokémon YouTube channel.

Conditions to unlock the Epilogue
To play the "Epilogue" of "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero," you must meet the following three conditions:
- Complete the event that becomes available after the ending of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
- Complete the main stories of "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero": "Part 1: The Teal Mask" and "Part 2: The Indigo Disk"
- Receive the item, Mythical Pecha Berry, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
The Mythical Pecha Berry can be received by selecting "Get via Internet" from the "Mystery Gift" menu in the game.
The Mythical Pecha Berry item is available at any time, so if you have not yet met the requirements, work on clearing those conditions.
