Shichijo Kanshundo's Kyoto Pokémon Confectionery Series 2 Arrives! Online Pre-sales Start January 22 (Mon)

Historic Kyoto confectionery maker SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO, founded in 1865, has introduced its second collection of Kyoto Pokémon sweets!
After online pre-sales begin on the official SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO website on January 22, 2024 (Mon), in-store sales will launch on February 3, 2024 (Sat) at the Kyoto Main Store and Kitasenju Marui store.
Product names are unofficial translations.

Kyoto Pokémon Sweets Return

Kyoto Pokémon sweets are coming from SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO, founded in 1865!
This second collection, Kyoto Pokémon Sweets, features Pokémon associated with winter events, crafted as jo-namagashi (fresh, high-quality sweets), fuyaki (wheat gluten crackers), and higashi (dried sweets).

Pokémon Jo-namagashi Winter (4-piece set)

Pikachu, Alolan Vulpix, Glalie, and Darumaka appear as jo-namagashi!
Artisans craft jo-namagashi using traditional Japanese confectionery techniques. At SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO, artisans handcraft these sweets using high-quality ingredients and water from Kyoto’s Higashiyama.

Pokémon Fuyaki Winter (3-piece set)

These fuyaki (wheat gluten crackers) recreate Pikachu (male/female), Decidueye, and Sprigatito alongside winter scenes and events in Kyoto.
Artisans carefully bake fuyaki-senbei from sticky rice, giving them a distinctively gentle, melting texture. The artisans hand-paint each illustration.

Higashi is a general term for sweets with low moisture content; artisans crafted these using an original Pikachu wooden confectionery mold.

Sales Overview

In-Store Sales for Pokémon Fuyaki Winter and Pokémon Higashi Winter

Starting February 3, 2024 (Sat), Pokémon Fuyaki Winter and Pokémon Higashi Winter will go on sale at SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO's Kyoto Main Store, Kitasenju Marui store, JR Kyoto Isetan store, and Fushimi Otesuji store.

Lottery Sales for Pokémon Jo-namagashi Winter

SHICHIJO KANSHUNDO will sell Pokémon Jo-namagashi Winter via advance lottery at the Kyoto Main Store and Kitasenju Marui store.
Due to limited daily production, the store splits sales across three days.
Winners must visit either the Kyoto Main Store or the Kitasenju Marui store to make their purchase.

Online Pre-sales

Online pre-sales for Pokémon Fuyaki Winter and Pokémon Higashi Winter will begin on January 22, 2024 (Mon) at 1:00 PM on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
