Nintendo Switch 2 Game Star Fox Suddenly Announced!
This title is a remake of the NINTENDO 64 game Star Fox 64.
The graphics and character designs have been completely redone, optimizing it for Nintendo Switch 2.
Briefings between stages, brand-new movie scenes, and encyclopedia texts that reveal details about characters and planets have been substantially added.
Story Mode
In Story Mode, where you fight your way through various planets and sectors of space toward the enemy's headquarters, the route branches depending on your mission accomplishment status and the number of enemy ships shot down.
The difficulty can be selected from three options: Easy, Normal, and Expert.
It also supports two-player gameplay, sharing a Joy-Con 2 to divide roles between a pilot and a shooter.
All 16 stages are included, and it is also equipped with a Challenge Mode where you can take on specific objectives in stages you have cleared.
3 Vehicle Designs
Fox and his crew board their beloved Arwing to adventure through various locations.
Depending on the route, there are also scenes where you clear a path with the high-mobility land-to-air tank Landmaster or the modified exploration submarine Blue-Marine.
Newly Included "Battle Mode"
A Battle Mode where you can enjoy 4-on-4 team battles across three stages with different rules is newly included.
It supports matchmaking against players worldwide, private matches with friends, and online matching by forming teams with friends.
Offline, you can enjoy battling against the CPU alone.
AR Filter
By using the AR Filter in game chat, it is possible to change your own face displayed on the screen into the appearance of an in-game character.
Mouth movements, blinking, and eyebrow movements are also reflected.
It can be used by utilizing a USB camera such as the Nintendo Switch 2 camera.
"NINTENDO 64 Controller" Is Also Supported
The NINTENDO 64 Controller, a product exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, is also supported.
You can also enjoy it with a control feel close to the original Star Fox 64.
Star Fox will be released on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
