Nintendo has announced that the Nintendo Switch software Tomodachi Collection: Living the Dream will be released on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

The characters appearing in this title are the caricature characters known as Miis.
Various facial parts are available, including face shapes, hairstyles, eyes, ear shapes, and original parts for this title.
By using the Face Paint feature, it is also possible to freely draw onto a Mii's face.
You can freely create anyone, such as yourself, family, friends, or people you admire.
The Relationships of the Residents
The residents who come to the island are initially strangers to each other, and they need some kind of opportunity to become acquaintances.
In such cases, you can create an opportunity for them to get to know each other by taking a resident to another resident's place.
Once they know each other, residents will naturally deepen their interactions, but sometimes they may approach you for important advice.
Whether or not to give them a push is up to you; if you choose to support them, you can advise on topics to use to get closer or where to confess.
Residents not only become friends but may also fall in love or start living together in the same house.
Little Quirks
Little Quirks allow you to give characteristics to behaviors such as how they eat, stand, or walk.
By having you, the manager, give them as presents to residents, you can reflect the characteristics of real people onto Miis.

Island Building
The island can be freely remodeled by your hands as the manager.
You can create an island to your liking by turning the sea into land, moving houses and shops, or placing trees and playground equipment.
Palette House
In the Palette House, it is possible to create original items such as food, clothes, and pets by drawing pictures on a canvas.
Three-dimensional buildings and ground can also be created, greatly expanding the breadth of island creation.
Tomodachi Collection: Living the Dream can be played not only on Nintendo Switch 2 but also on Nintendo Switch.
Reservations are being accepted at the Nintendo eShop and My Nintendo Store, and it will be released on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
