Cygames, Inc. began distributing a demo version of " The Land of Collapse," the first title under its new " CygamesEdge " brand, on Steam starting Friday, October 16, 2026.

On Friday, October 16, 2026, a Steam demo for *The Land of Collapse*, scheduled for release under Cygames’ new game brand “CygamesEdge,” became available.
With the motto “Stay on the edge. (Keep pushing the boundaries.),” this game marks the first title from “CygamesEdge,” a new game brand launched with the goal of developing small- to mid-sized titles.
The full game is scheduled for release on Thursday, November 5, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam.

The demo lets players experience high-difficulty gameplay focused on the game’s signature “descending” action.
The estimated playtime is approximately 15 to 30 minutes; while players can take on the challenge with all actions unlocked, the demo does not include any story elements.
In the full version, actions will be gradually unlocked as the story progresses, and the difficulty is designed to be accessible to a wider range of players, with a focus on the game’s world and narrative.

A story about journeying from the top of the World Tree to the ground! Final trailer released

To coincide with the release of the demo, the latest video , the “Land of Collapse” Final Trailer, has been released.
It introduces the game’s world through numerous cutscenes and gameplay footage.

The story is set in a world where people have built a civilization atop the World Tree.
It follows a man who has lost everything as he encounters the “Taboo Child ”—a being that brings ruin to the world—and works together with it to make their way down to the surface.
