Supports Wi-Fi6 (802.11ax) at up to 5700 Mbps
The RT-AX86U Pro supports Wi-Fi6 (802.11ax ) for low latency and ultra-fast communication, with a maximum speed of 5700 Mbps using 160 MHz channel width.
While wired LAN connections have been said to be more stable and faster for gaming, the RT-AX86U Pro supports Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), which has a maximum transmission speed of approximately 9.6 Gbps, which is comparable to that of a wired LAN.
This is 1.4 times faster than conventional Wi-Fi5 and significantly reduces the time required for data transmission and reception, enabling a lag-free, low-latency gaming experience.
Three features to accelerate game communication
The RT-AX86U Pro is equipped with a gaming LAN port,Adaptive QoS, and a 5 GHz bandwidth of up to 15 channels to accelerate gaming communication.
The Gaming LAN port is a port that can prioritize game communication, allowing for faster game communication compared to other ports.
Adaptive QoS, which allows certain communications to be prioritized and bandwidth to be reserved, can be configured to prioritize gaming communications even when bandwidth is congested by multiple devices by selecting Game Boost from the settings on the router.
And it can use up to 15 of the least congested channels in the 5 GHz band to increase bandwidth for gaming.
These features can be used together to ensure stable communication speeds even during prime-time hours, when speeds are likely to slow down.
The product will be released on Friday, December 16, 2022.
The low-latency, ultra-fast wireless communication of the RT-AX86U Pro is attractive, but it also supports Internet connections of up to 2 Gbps, so both wired and Wi-Fi connections can be used for fast, low-latency networking.
The product is scheduled to be released on Friday, December 16, 2022, at an open price.
