AEON Card has been renewed with a new vertical design for easy use of IC payments!

Cashless payment is becoming common in daily life, such as shopping for daily necessities at the supermarket, making small payments at convenience stores, and online shopping at home.

Since there is no need to pay cash for small purchases, it is a smart way to complete payments, and it also plays a role in household budget management, as it allows users to check the history of who purchased what, where, what, and at what price.

With this in mind, the AEON Card, which offers great savings at AEON affiliated stores where you have many opportunities to use it for everyday shopping, will be renewed in November 2022!

The new AEON card design has been renewed as a vertical card.
Recently, due to the impact of the new coronavirus and for security reasons, more and more people are inserting their own cards even for IC payments.
While the direction of the card was difficult to understand with the conventional horizontal card, the vertical card has the advantage of being easy to use for IC payments because it can be inserted without changing the design of the face of the card.

All card information is now on the back of the card.

With the redesigned card, the credit card number, name, and expiration date are integrated on the back of the card so that cardholders can use their cards safely and securely without the risk of having their card information peeked at by others when making IC payments or touch (contactless) payments.

In addition to the " WAON" and "WAON POINT" e-money that can be used for AEON affiliate payments as with the existing AEON Card, the card also comes standard with touch (contactless) settlement, which enables payment by simply holding it over a settlement terminal.

The new design will be applied to AEON Cards issued from new applications and reissuance procedures on and after November 1, 2022 (Tuesday ). The following cards are eligible for the new design.

A campaign is underway to reward new cardholders with up to 10,000 WAON POINTs for new enrollment and usage between November 1, 2022 (Tuesday) and January 10, 2023 (Tuesday )!
