However, just as they were about to light the blue flame that protects peace, the town was attacked and engulfed in red flames—Will you choose the path of revenge, or the path of restoration? To restore your destroyed hometown, you will construct various facilities and work toward the town's prosperity. You can cook meals at your base, or harvest various materials at the fields and pastures....

Because the role of each building is different, it is important to construct facilities that align with your goals. As the town's restoration progresses, you can also construct unique facilities such as the Monster Arena and the Museum.

Monster Arena

At the Monster Arena, you will receive capture requests for monsters, and captured monsters can fight in Arena Matches. Winning will reward you with items useful for your adventure.

Museum

At the Museum, you can use the Music Scores obtained during your journey to listen to music or set the in-game background music (BGM). Furthermore, by expanding the premises, you can look back on your travel memories by viewing journals or display treasures of legend obtained from various locations.

Invite People Met on Your Adventure to Become Residents

During your adventure, you may encounter people who can be invited to Wishvale. The residents each possess abilities that are useful for the town's restoration, so be sure to invite them to help the town prosper.

Introducing the Features and New Elements of the Evolved Battle System!

During your journey toward restoration, you will challenge ferocious monsters and enemy soldiers in battle. The battle system of the "OCTOPATH TRAVELER" series uses a turn-based command battle system, featuring Break, which exploits enemy weaknesses to make them immobile, and Boost, which uses BP (Boost Points) accumulated each turn to strengthen attacks and skills.

Eight-Person Party Battle

New systems have also been added to "OCTOPATH TRAVELER 0," further evolving the strategic depth. The Eight-Person Party Battle allows you to freely form a party of up to eight characters from a pool of over 30 companions. Combat progresses by switching between four characters in the front row and four in the back row. You can enjoy more strategic combat by switching characters to match the enemy's weaknesses or when a companion is in danger.

Select Abilities

Select Abilities is a system that allows you to freely swap items called Secret Arts that you obtain during your adventure. If you build a Training Hall in Town Building, you can convert the skills of your raised companions into Secret Arts and equip them to other companions.

Ultimate Techniques

The protagonist and their companions can learn powerful Ultimate Techniques that can turn the tide of battle. Ultimate Techniques have multiple stages, and the player's choice determines the outcome: they can either fill the gauge to unleash the maximum effect at Lv. 3 or intentionally use it early at Lv. 1 or Lv. 2. This adds further strategic depth to the turn-based battle, in addition to Break and Boost.

A Demo with Save Data Transfer to the Full Version and a Save Data Link Campaign Are Currently Underway!

A free demo that allows three hours of play from the start of the game is currently available on the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop. Because the created save data can be carried over to the full version, you can continue playing with the unique protagonist you created in the demo.
