Sitting in a chair for hours, practicing combos daily... practicing aim... practicing character movement... While your fingers and hands gripping controllers or mice become more skilled, many gamers probably sacrifice their health. Even though you know it's an issue, it takes courage to start regular training or go to the gym. However, if you're exhausted during important ranked matches or occasional offline events, you can't truly call yourself a gamer. This time, we're bringing you a review of the newly released "Amazfit Balance 2" from the wearable device brand Amazfit! Let's start with simple exercises and slowly work towards better health!

The contents are:
- "Amazfit Balance 2" main unit
- Charging pad
- Instruction manual
- Strap (black)
- Strap (red)
Perhaps to cut costs, a USB charging cable was not included. You probably have plenty of them anyway, so it's fine! Isn’t it?

There are two types of straps. I thought they were just different colors, but the designs are slightly different too. The black one is also about 2mm narrower.

This is what the main unit looks like. A rotating crown and power button are located on the right side.

On the back of the unit, the features of the "Amazfit Balance 2" are faintly printed: “AMAZFIT - SAPPHIRE - DIVE 45M - WR:100M...”

The charging pad is magnetic on both sides, so you can charge it with a snap. The magnet isn't super strong, but it didn't fall off when attached to a vertical wall under its own weight. As mentioned earlier, a USB Type-C cable is not included, so you'll need to prepare one separately.
For the first boot-up, you'll need to install the Zepp app (App Store/Google Play) on your smartphone and proceed with the initial setup. Please also refer to the Amazfit official website.
The Man Who Started Exercising with the "Amazfit Balance 2"

This back, wearing the "Amazfit Balance 2" on his arm, somehow conveys a sense of determination. He says he's going to exercise now, under the overcast weather that isn't sunny or rainy.

Here I go!

And so, influencer Fujii Yodan (@MTNRFG) stood up. He's currently somewhere between a freelancer and a NEET, but his motivation for exercise doesn't seem low.

He was a college student just three months ago, but Fujii Yodan is actually 30 years old. He performs thorough warm-up exercises before working out.

Running start!

Tap, tap, tap...

Tap...

Tap, tap...

Tap, tap, tap...

"Look at this watch!"

"Oh! This is amazing!"

After finishing his run, when Fujii Yodan checks his "Amazfit Balance 2," it displays his exercise time, distance, heart rate, and more.

Data measured by the "Amazfit Balance 2" is immediately synced to the Zepp app. Pace, heart rate, power, ground contact time, and more are displayed in time-series graphs, allowing for review at any time later.

He's also a gamer, in a way. Seeing his exercise manifest as numbers gets him excited.

They say that once you become an adult, you have fewer opportunities to exercise, but it seems to be true even if you're not an adult. Because of that, Fujii Yodan seems to be enjoying himself once he gets into the swing of things.

After completing one lap around the track, Fujii Yodan notices something.

If I go this way...

4!

This was a bit too easy, so...

He tried writing in kanji. Quite good for an improvisation.

...He showed it off with a smug look, but this is actually an existing culture called "GPS Art." There are many works of much higher quality, but... he seems satisfied, so let's keep quiet.
However, considering that it was drawn in only 300 meters, it was able to be tracked in detail, which I believe demonstrates the high GPS accuracy of the "Amazfit Balance 2."
Challenging "Golf Mode"

Sudden form change!? One of the big features of the "Amazfit Balance 2" is the inclusion of Golf Mode.
By the way, Fujii Yodan. He seems to have been going to the driving range in his private time recently.

It's easy to use. Just select "Golf" from the menu and choose a course! Since we're not on an actual golf course this time, it won't display, but in reality, precise GPS will support your round.

The "Amazfit Balance 2" covers 40,000 courses worldwide! It supports 2,349 courses in Japan, with a 99% coverage rate. As you can see, even when searching for courses in the Tokyo metropolitan area, plenty of results appear. It's smoother if you download them from the app beforehand.
While many smartwatches are designed for golf or specialize in golf, the "Amazfit Balance 2" stands out because it incorporates golf features while being usable for many other sports and daily life.

When you swing, the swing analysis function on your "Amazfit Balance 2" activates. The key to improving your golf game depends on how consistently you can replicate the same swing. This golf analysis function works even when you're at the driving range or just practicing swings, so even if you can't play a full round, you can use it to develop a consistent swing!
