SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium has announced that it will hold a collaboration project with the Nintendo Switch software Animal Crossing: New Horizons titled “Animal Crossing: New Horizons x SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium Umi no Ikimono Fureai Ten” (hereinafter “Umi no Ikimono Fureai Ten.”).
It will be held from Friday, January 30, 2026, to Monday, May 11, 2026.
”Animal Crossing: New Horizons x SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium Umi no Ikimono Fureai Ten” Is Being Held!
At the “Umi no Ikimono Fureai Ten,” more than 30 varieties of fish and sea creatures in total that appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons are on display.
In addition to commentary by Blathers, who is familiar from the game, panels where you can enjoy trivia from the caretakers will be installed at each tank.
"Ikimono Sagashi" (creature search) cards to look for the exhibited creatures are being sold, and those who correctly identify the creatures not on display will receive a limited edition sticker.
In the backyard experience tour, in addition to being able to experience feeding using a paper bag inspired by Fish Bait, a workshop where you can make a Shell Wreath is also being held.
You can experience various activities that appear in the game.
"Ikimono Sagashi" Card Sales
The "Ikimono Sagashi", where you look for fish and sea creatures that appear in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is being held.
One creature not at the aquarium is depicted on the card, and if you get it right, you receive a commemorative sticker.
The event details are as follows:
- Card distribution location: Special Counter inside SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium
- Event hours: Subject to the aquarium's business hours
- Fee: 300 yen (Admission ticket is required separately)
Workshop: Making a Small Shell Wreath
A workshop where you can create your very own wreath using shells as materials is being held.
You can freely decorate a wreath approximately 10cm in diameter with various shells, coral, and more.
The workshop details are as follows:
- Event location: Education Room, 1st Floor, SEA LIFE Nagoya Aquarium
- Event hours: From 12:00 PM (Duration approx. 30 minutes)
- Experience fee: 1,500 yen (Admission ticket is required separately)
- Limited to 20 people per day
In addition to that, the installation of limited photo spots and the sale of limited merchandise are being carried out.
If you check in with the smartphone app Nintendo Store, you will receive a special postcard.
