Capcom Co., Ltd. has announced that it will hold its first " CAPCOM GAMES COMPETITION," a game production competition for students. This competition will utilize " RE ENGINE " developed by Capcom.

RE ENGINE" is Capcom's world-class game development engine. RE ENGINE" is Capcom's world-class game development engine. In addition to its realistic, live-action-like rendering, the engine has been simplified to make it easier for developers to use and to achieve a more efficient development environment.

In this first-ever game production competition for students, participants will develop games in a cloud environment using "RE ENGINE" and other game production tools. Each team of up to 20 students will be assigned a role in the competition, and will have 6 months to develop one game, with support from Capcom developers.

The competition will provide participants with an opportunity to learn the latest game development methods, and Capcom will support the production of the winning game if it has potential for commercialization. The total prize money is expected to be 10 million yen, and the grand prize of 5 million yen will be awarded to one team. Entries will be accepted from Monday, December 9, 2024 to Friday, January 17, 2025.
