The Esports World Cup (hereinafter EWC), organized by the Saudi Esports World Cup Federation, is the world's largest-scale esports tournament. It will be held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, from Wednesday, July 3, 2024, to Sunday, August 25, 2024, over eight weeks, with a total prize pool of 60 million dollars, the highest amount ever in esports history. The tournament will feature PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS (hereinafter PUBG) and PUBG MOBILE as official game titles.

The Game Championship will feature 21 titles, and KRAFTON, as the only Korean game publisher participating, will have PUBG and PUBG MOBILE included as tournament titles. Notably, PUBG MOBILE will participate as a standalone tournament rather than a subsidiary title, giving it special significance.

PUBG Tournament Information
EWC Official WebsiteThe PUBG tournament will feature 24 teams from around the world competing for a total prize pool of 2 million dollars. Currently, eight teams—Twisted Minds, CERBERUS Esports, eArena, Natus Vincere, Petrichor Road, Soniqs, Virtus.Pro, and NH-Esports—have secured direct tickets to EWC. The remaining 16 spots will be determined through regional qualifiers in South Korea, China, Europe·Middle East·Africa (EMEA), Southeast Asia, and the Americas.
The main PUBG event will be held offline in Riyadh with live audiences. The group stage will run from Wednesday, August 21, 2024, to Friday, August 23, 2024, where the top 16 out of 24 teams will advance to the finals.
The finals will take place over two days on Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25, 2024 under a splash rule. Up to six matches will be played on the first day, and if a team reaches a total of 70 points, the day’s matches will end. On the second day, matches continue with the teams that scored 70 points or more on day one, and the team that reaches 70 points first will be declared the champion.
PUBG MOBILE Tournament Information
EWC Official WebsiteThe PUBG MOBILE tournament will be held in collaboration with EWC as a standalone event called the PUBG MOBILE World Cup x Esports World Cup (PMWC x EWC), with the largest prize pool among EWC titles at 3 million dollars.
Twenty-four teams, selected from top regional professional leagues and special invitations worldwide, will compete in the group stage from Friday, July 19, 2024, to Sunday, July 21, 2024. The top 12 teams from each group will advance directly to the main stage.
The bottom 12 teams from the group stage and four teams from the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) will compete in the survival stage, with the top four teams advancing to the main stage.
The main stage will run from Friday, July 26, 2024, to Sunday, July 28, 2024, with 16 teams competing over two days. The team accumulating the highest total points will be crowned champion.
Confirmed Japanese participants on the PMWC x EWC big stage include CAG OSAKA, the winner of the PUBG MOBILE Japan League Season 4 Phase 1 (@CYCLOPS_OSAKA), and REJECT, the winner of the 2024 PUBG MOBILE Global Open (@RC_REJECT).
