EVO Japan 2024 presented by ROHTO (hereinafter, EVO Japan 2024) has finally begun.
As one of Japan's largest fighting game festivals, fighting gamers gathered from all over the world, and the total number of entries for the main tournaments reached 8,966 people.

EVO Japan 2024 Opens!
EVO Japan 2024 has finally begun.
The strongest players in the fighting game world will be decided over the three days from Saturday, April 27, 2024, to Monday, April 29, 2024.
Last year's EVO Japan 2023 was held at Tokyo Big Sight, but this year's venue is Ariake GYM-EX!
The entire new exhibition hall, which was renovated after being used for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is reserved.
Starting with EVO Japan 2024, paid tickets are required for both admission and player entry.
Due to the great success, ticket sales ended earlier than planned, but perhaps thanks to that, the venue has a relatively relaxed population density.
Even while walking around the booths, no signs of crowding or confusion were seen. We can't thank the management enough for their hard work.
Rohto Booth
This year as well, the top partner is Rohto Pharmaceutical.
As soon as you enter the venue, a super giant Rohto Z! Man welcomes you.
At the Rohto booth, a capsule toy campaign is being held where you can win items such as Tokido illustration stickers and Rohto Z! Man plushies.
A relaxation space in collaboration with Yogibo, known for the sofa that ruins people, is also being deployed.
It is a prime spot where you can view the large screen of the main stage while relaxing comfortably!
Official Merchandise Booth
There was a long line at the EVO Japan 2024 official merchandise booth.
In addition to souvenir jackets and T-shirts, original goods in collaboration with Hi Score Girl, a popular manga and anime based on fighting games, were also sold.
Since many items were sold out after noon, we strongly recommend joining from the morning if you have a specific item in mind!

In the outdoor area of Ariake GYM-EX, various food trucks such as steak bowls, fries, kebabs, and crepes were open, giving off delicious aromas.
We also bought takoyaki to build up our energy!
Since a spacious terrace rest space is also provided on the second floor of Ariake GYM-EX, it seems you won't have trouble finding a place to eat.
Inside the venue, vending machines for Japan Energy Inc.'s energy drink Samurai Energy are installed everywhere.
At the drink counter, they even have alcohol.

EVO Japan 2024 has finally started.
It was very impressive that the venue has plenty of space thanks to the paid ticket system and Ariake GYM-EX.
