Pokémon UNITE, the first team strategy battle game in the Pokémon series
The smartphone version of the game was released in September, and just as we were taking a brief break, new information has surfaced!
(JCG), an e-sports online tournament platform provider, and Pokémon Inc. will hold the first "Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament", a one-day official online tournament, on Saturday, December 4 and Saturday, December 5. The tournament will be held on December 4 (Sat. ) and December 5 (Sun.), 2012.
Entries are being accepted from today, November 22 (Monday).
The competition will be live-streamed on the official Pokémon Unite YouTube channel.

About "Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament
The "Pokémon UNITE Winter Tournament" is anopen, casual, one-day online tournament in which teams of five players can enter using the "Friend Match" function within Pokémon UNITE.
As mentioned above, the first tournament will be held on Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5.
The second tournament will be held on January 8 (Sat) and 9 (Sun).
The top teams from each tournament may be able to participate in an invitation-only offline tournament scheduled to be held in the Kanto area in the future. ..?

Eligibility | The applicant must be at least 16 years old at the time of application for this tournament. If a team includes a player under 20 years old, the player's parent or guardian must give permission for the player to participate in the tournament. The player must be able to read, write, and communicate in Japanese. The applicant must be able to communicate with the tournament management through "Discord," a chat application designated by the tournament management. Be able to follow the instructions of the interviewer and the management during the official distribution of the tournament. |
