TWFighter Major, an annual fighting game tournament for Taiwanese gamers since 2015, has changed its name to Taipei Major due to a change in the organizer, and was co-hosted by TWFighter, a Taiwanese fighting game community, and Eliphant, a Singapore-based game tournament organizer. As a regional tournament for the Capcom Pro Tour 2019, Tekken World Tour 2019, and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 World Championship, "Taipei Major" will feature Street Fighter V Arcade Edition, Tekken 7, and DEAD OR ALIVE 6, as well as Soulcalibur VI, The King of Fighters XIV, and Super Smash Bros. SPECIAL, for a total of six main competition titles.
The event will be held from Saturday, June 8 to Sunday, 29 2019, and the deadline for registration is Tuesday, June 4.
