Saiga NAKThe large-scale tournament proceeded smoothly at the venue, keeping the staff members very busy.

Chikurin, a top candidate for the championship, also participated, traveling all the way from Nagasaki. He also made headlines for paying a courtesy call to the Governor of Nagasaki Prefecture.

The Final was ZETA/double vs. Chikurin

Advancing to the Grand Final were ZETA DIVISION's double (@double4646) and THY's Chikurin (@chikurintut). double had dropped only 1 match until this point, advancing to the final from the Winners' side with overwhelming momentum. Chikurin was defeated by Shonen@Niigata e-spopia, with whom he had a fierce battle at the "CELLPRO SINGLES" in May 2024, and was moved to the Losers' side, but fought his way back to the Grand Final with a streak of straight wins. The highly anticipated match was about to begin!

double chose Shaheen, while Chikurin stuck with Lili.
The first match, which started with perfect rounds for both players, went to Chikurin.

The day was long, starting in the afternoon, but many players stayed to watch the final battle.

The back-and-forth continued, but Chikurin, who was slightly ahead in the mind games, won the first 3 matches. He advanced to the Grand Final Reset for the final showdown!

The character selection was a focus for the casters. double chose Law here, and the Grand Final Reset began with a side change.

It was a heated battle that went to the final round right from the start of the first match.
However, the momentum of Chikurin, who had fought his way back from the Losers' side, could not be stopped.

The second match also went to the final round, but it was double who fought back in the thrilling contest, tying the score at 1-1.

Chikurin's expression barely changed throughout the match. While double showed the tenacity of a strong competitor, Chikurin ultimately won 3 consecutive rounds to clinch the victory.

The reactions of both players, released from their extreme concentration, were synchronized.
Chikurin, who hadn't achieved significant results recently, demonstrated his excellent form right before the summer.

- 2nd Place: WD_BLACK P10 Game Drive 2TB
- 3rd Place: WD_BLACK SN770 NVMe SSD 1TB
- 1st to 10th Place: WD_BLACK Promotional Towel
- 1st to 5th Place: "Tekken 8" Original T-Shirt
3rd Place: VARREL | Pinya

(The following block quotes are translated from Japanese.)
— The result was 3rd place.
Pinya: I've been playing Raven exclusively since the update, and I felt a good response and had confidence.
Despite that, I was 6-0'd in the Winners' Final... I finished in 3rd place, but I'm truly disappointed.
— What are your plans for future tournaments?
Pinya: My immediate focus is "EVO."
— Will you continue playing Raven?
Pinya: I was trying to master Kuma for a while, but Raven became stronger after the update.
I still think of myself as a Raven player, and when I use a different character overseas, the crowd goes quiet... (laughs) When I bring out Raven, the energy is high, and the local support gives me a lot of strength, so Raven is probably the better choice!
2nd Place: double

— Congratulations on taking 2nd place.
double: Thank you!
But the feeling of regret is definitely bigger.
— Aside from Chikurin, were there any players you felt were tough?
double: I had personally lost to Ko- in the Kawasaki tournament before, so being able to beat him this time was huge.
— I believe today was the full debut of Shaheen for you. How did it feel?
double: I used Shaheen for about 75% of the tournament and felt good about my performance.
I really wanted to use Shaheen in the Grand Final Reset, but I lacked proficiency and kept making input errors, so I switched to Law.
But Chikurin was too good. It was a complete defeat.
— What are your plans for future tournaments?
double: I won't be attending "EVO" but plan to participate in "The MIXUP 2024," which is a qualifier for the "Esports World Cup." Tournaments have been held almost every week since "EVO Japan 2024," so I also want to rest my body.
1st Place: Chikurin

— How do you feel after the tournament?
Chikurin: I thought I was able to concentrate quite well today, while going through my various routines.
However, I used up all the tricks I was saving for Saudi Arabia (laughs).
— Were there any particularly tough matches throughout the day?
Chikurin: Every match was tough, and my hands wouldn't stop shaking, even when I played Umashika in the second match.
I had many truly tough matches.
— We also saw combo mistakes in the matches on the Winners' side.
Chikurin: It was like constantly telling myself to "Concentrate!"
I focused especially on making sure I landed my moves.
— The next major tournament is the "EVO 2024," isn't it?
Chikurin: "EVO" is one of the championships I've always aimed for, so I'll do my best to win!

Congratulations again to everyone!
