Western Digital Corporation exhibited at "Tokyo Game Show 2024 (hereafter, TGS2024)," one of the world's largest gaming festivals.
While the company is known for its strong presence in SSDs and HDDs, it has also become a brand loved by gamers, thanks to recent models like the WD Black series aimed at gamers.
Here is a photo report from Western Digital's booth at TGS2024!
An ASUS Talk Session Was Happening on the Stage
Saiga NAKWhen we visited the booth, George (@George_ShowGo) from ASUS was on stage.
ASUS also had its own booth, so it was a pleasant surprise for George's fans to see him appear at the Western Digital booth as well.
Is This an Arcade Stick from Western Digital?!
Saiga NAKI wondered what a booth for SSDs/HDDs would be like. They couldn't possibly display competitors' products for performance comparisons... or so I thought, but there was an arcade stick with Western Digital's logo printed on it!
(Is this an EGO Arcade FightStick from Mad Catz...?)
There was a gaming laptop with a WD Black SSD, an ROG gamepad, and a Western Digital arcade stick.

And when I looked closer, I saw the EVO logo...!
You could play GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- from Arc System Works in the game trial area!
The person in charge must love fighting games.
It's Not Just About Performance! It's All About the Lights!

When you hear "SSD/HDD," you might think of performance over looks, but the WD Black series lights up.
I also use it, and having it light up is surprisingly convenient.
It's easy to see at a glance whether it's properly recognized.
I'm glad that it not only looks cool but also lets you instantly tell if the device is recognized by your PC/console.

Seriously, it looks so cool (I'm running out of words).
Photo Sessions with Popular Cosplayers, Too!
Saiga NAKWhen it comes to game shows, cosplayers are there to liven up the booths. Many popular cosplayers participated at the Western Digital booth, and when we visited, Yuriko Tiger (@yurikotiger) was there cosplaying as Cammy from Street Fighter 6!

Of course, we got to take a picture with her!
That concludes our photo report on Western Digital!
