Western Digital Corporation exhibited at Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS 2024), one of the world's largest gaming festivals. The company has a strong presence in SSDs and HDDs, and has recently become a favorite of gamer fans with its WD Black series of gamer-friendly models. Here is a photo report of Western Digital's booth at TGS2024!
Talk session with ASUS on the stage out of the blue
When we visited the booth, ASUS's Joji (@George_ShowGo ) was on stage. ASUS was also exhibiting, but I didn't expect him to show up at the Western Digital booth as well (Jyoji). It's a great time to be a fan.
Western Digital's Akebono!
What would an SSD/HDD exhibit booth look like? I didn't think they would be able to put other companies' products and compare their performance...but then I saw a Western Digital printed acetate! (Is this Mad Catz's "EGO Arcade FightStick"?) (Is this Mad Catz's "EGO Arcade FightStick"?) A gaming laptop, a WD Black SSD, a ROG gamepad, and a Western Digital gaming controller.
And if you look closely, you can see the "EVO" logo..! In the game play area, "GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-" by Arc System Works was available to try out! Someone in charge must be a gaming enthusiast.
It's not just about performance! It just shines!
When you hear the word "SSD/HDD", you may think that performance is more important than looks, but the WD Black shines. I also love using it, and the fact that it glows is very convenient. It's easy to see at a glance if the device is being recognized properly. Not only is it cool, but it's also nice to be able to instantly see if the device is being recognized by the PC/console.
Well, that's still really cool (vocabulary)!
There was also a photo session with popular cosplayers!
Speaking of game shows, cosplayers are a big part of the excitement at game shows. At the time of our visit, Yuriko Tiger (@yurikotiger ) was cosplaying as Cammy from Sto6!

Of course, we were able to take photos with them! This is the Western Digital Photo Report!
