As the first institution in Japan to establish an academic department dedicated to game studies, Osaka Electro-Communication University has continually fostered numerous game creators as a leader in game education.
At TGS2026, the university will showcase many of its students' diverse initiatives.
The following activities will take place at the Osaka Electro-Communication University booth:
- Exhibition of carefully selected student works (high school–university collaboration)
- Presentation of results from metaverse and industry-academia collaboration projects
- Designated elite club OECU eSports to exhibit its first standalone booth
- A booth space embodying the "fusion of learning and experience"
- Hands-on presentations connecting students directly with society
Booth Exhibition Overview

This year, the booth will display a total of nine works: eight works that passed rigorous internal screening in the digital game category, plus one work developed from the "Project Seminar" curriculum.
Going beyond conventional game development, each title demonstrates deep creativity spanning from UI to overall experience design, including the fabrication of custom controllers (hardware) tailored to each game's world.
Additionally, six graphic design works and two works by students from Osaka Electro-Communication University High School will be exhibited together.
The results of creator education practiced across both the high school and university levels will be on full display.

In addition, the Third Campus, established this spring on the metaverse platform cluster as a next-generation educational foundation, will be unveiled.
This campus features a VR world created as the second installment of the Den-Zukun Project, an industry-academia collaboration with Toei Co., Ltd.'s Zukun Laboratory.
Visitors will be able to experience the possibilities of new learning and expression made possible by industry-academia cooperation.
Furthermore, the university's designated elite club, OECU eSports, will exhibit its first-ever standalone booth.
The booth will comprehensively highlight initiatives for cultivating talent capable of thriving at the forefront of digital society, extending beyond competitive esports to encompass event management and streaming technology.
The overall booth design was created by students majoring in Spatial Design within the Faculty of Architecture and Design, bringing the fusion of play and learning to life through three-dimensional spatial staging.
Moreover, the students involved in development will explain their works directly to visitors.
Be sure to visit TGS2026 to experience firsthand the growth and achievements of these promising student creators.
