The PLAION REPLAI booth at TGS2026 is all about NEOGEO!
You can really feel their passion.
The NEOGEO is gaming hardware released by SNK in 1990.
Allowing players to enjoy arcade games with identical quality at home, it was a legendary home console that took the world by storm back then.
PLAION REPLAI collaborated with SNK to develop NEOGEO AES+, a complete recreation of the NEOGEO.
It has been revived in an evolved form while preserving the best aspects of the original!
Anyone who actually played on the system back then will likely be amazed by the build quality.
Just seeing a cartridge inserted into the slot evokes an unstoppable wave of nostalgia.
Even the arcade stick has been recreated...!
The biggest evolution is that HDMI output is now supported.
You can enjoy comfortable gameplay with low latency.
It also supports AV output, allowing you to play on a nostalgic CRT TV.
Hands-on gameplay demos were also available at the booth!
A new white colorway that was not available in the past makes its debut!
It gives off a completely transformed vibe with its own distinct charm.
There was also a display of packaging for titles launching simultaneously with the NEOGEO AES+, as well as Zero Wing.
The retro packaging is irresistible.
It makes you want to start collecting them all.
The NEOGEO AES+ is scheduled for release on Thursday, September 16, 2027.
Pre-orders are currently open on the official PLAION REPLAI website.
Why not take a trip back in time and enjoy this nostalgic hardware?
That concludes our report from the PLAION REPLAI booth!
