(The following blockquotes are translated from Japanese.)
― Please tell us about the characters you plan to use and your impressions of the new members.

Mago: I'm thinking of using Juri as my character, and I'm considering adding one more character this year.
I've used various characters until now, but this year I'm planning to try another character, so I hope you'll look forward to that.
As for my impressions of the two new members, I've known Mochi for about 15 years, but my impression of him is... he often get sick (laughs)

― Could you give a slightly better impression? (laughs)
Mago: But! When I saw him again after a long time, he looked healthy.
Or rather, his complexion looked better, and I was really happy.
Well, I'm not that careful about my own health, so I can't really say much, but back then he looked even more frail. Now he looks healthy, so I thought we could expect a bit more this year.
As for ts, I heard he played back in the old Street Fighter IV days, but I didn't know him then. I started seeing his name a lot after Street Fighter 6 came out, and at first, I wondered, "Who is this guy?"
After watching his gameplay, I thought, "Oh, this person seems like they'll get strong," so I'm happy to be on the same team.

Mizuha: The characters I plan to use are Mai and Cammy.
As for my impressions of the new members, I had played against both of them, but we didn't really have much interaction before, and it's only recently that we started talking directly.
Mochi is a very kind and very strong person, and ts is a very kind and very strong person too (laughs).
They both have a very gentle aura and are kind, and on top of that, they're good at games and strong, which leaves a good impression.
I hope to deepen our friendship and get a clearer impression of them from now on.
― Please tell us about the characters you plan to use and your impression of the team.

YHC-Mochi: My character is Dhalsim.
Dhalsim has clear advantageous and disadvantageous matchups, while everyone else seems to use a good balance of characters, so I think if we complement each other, we can achieve good results.

ts: My character is Akuma.
When I think of VARREL, I strongly associate it with Mago, Mizuha, and last year, Moke...
Mago: Daikoku was there too!! (laughs)
ts: And Daikoku too (laughs).
That was my image, and I'm honored to be part of the team this year.
As for the team, I also think it's well-balanced, and if the team works together, I believe we can win against any opponent, so I want to contribute to as many wins as possible.
Mago: ts is still getting used to it, so he's a bit awkward...
ts: Sorry! (laughs)
― With the rule changes from last season, "SFL: Pro-JP 2025" seems to be a tournament where the overall strength of all four players will be tested.
Saiga NAKMago: I thought it should be that way.
I don't know if it's correct or incorrect rules-wise, or if it makes the tournament more or less interesting, but there are four people on a team and promotional photos are taken with all four, yet until now, it was possible for one person to never play.
I think the visibility of team battles has improved.
The requirement that the fourth player must appear in overtime, even if it's uncertain to happen, means teams will have to decide whether to put in a disadvantageous player or a stable player for the opposing team. That kind of judgment will probably reveal the team's character.
Thinking about it, it makes me excited.
― Please tell us about VARREL's strong points.
Mago: Strong points... I wonder.
I can't say much about ts and Mochi yet, but if both of them perform well, I think we can get good results, and Mizuha is as dependable as ever...
I hope we can create our own unique character this year!
― Do you have anything you'd like to appeal to the fans?
Mago: Oh, Mochi is four years older than me (laughs).
I'm about the second oldest in the league, but I'll do my best.
If I were to highlight a strength, especially for Mochi, it's that he has good luck winning.
It often happens when he performs well, but teams with Mochi tend to win or even take championships often, so I want to ride that wave too (laughs).
Everyone has potential, so I want to do my best with that plus our good luck winning.
― You're in Division F. What are your impressions?

Mago: Can I be honest?
At first glance, I thought REJECT and ZETA DIVISION Geekly probably belong in Division S (laughs).
So let's have a league with the remaining four teams!
...That's a joke, but the other teams are strong too, and especially REJECT and ZETA DIVISION Geekly are strong teams that not just us, but everyone who knows fighting games and Street Fighter 6 will be paying attention to.
How to counter these two teams and how to win against them will be the key to this Division.
Also, FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN has completely changed members except for Yanai, so I'm curious to see how strong they've become with their new members.
Especially since Yanai suddenly became the leader this time, I feel like his strength has increased, or rather, his quality has changed.
It's definitely the leader's sense of responsibility.
I feel like he's showing an improvement, a power-up to perform even better than before, so I'm really keeping an eye on Yanai.
Mizuha: I think a lot of people are paying attention to REJECT and ZETA DIVISION Geekly, but DetonatioN FocusMe, Hiroshima TEAM iXA, and FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN are also strong teams with niche characters or master players.
I think it's become a very distinctive Division, but I'm looking forward to fighting every team in the actual matches, and I want to win.

YHC-Mochi: The teams to watch are, to be honest, REJECT and ZETA DIVISION Geekly. There's no other way to put it, it's those two teams.
Personally, since Torimeshi is on FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN, as fellow Dhalsim players, I think he'll be important for the entire Division.
Last year we were in a different Division, so it was easier to counter, but it might be a bit more difficult in the same Division.
I hope people will pay attention to how we manage that, and who will win.

ts: When I first saw the Division breakdown, I looked for REJECT and Good 8 Squad from last year's Grand Finals, but ZETA DIVISION Geekly was also in the same Division, so I wondered how they decided that (laughs).
I really think every team is strong and it won't be easy, so we just have to do everything we can.
I want to focus entirely on the league.
