On Thursday, July 23, 2026, CAPCOM eSports’ official X account ( @CAPCOM_eSports ) announced that it had made partial revisions to the Capcom Community Tournament Guidelines.
Before the Changes
Regarding Prizes
Only certificates and trophies with no monetary value are permitted as prizes for community tournament participants.
After the change
Regarding Prizes
Prizes for community tournament participants are limited to commemorative items such as certificates and trophies, as well as other items not intended for cash conversion or resale.
According to reports, this change has made it possible to select a wider variety of prizes, including local specialties such as food.
Since this allows each host location and community to showcase its unique characteristics, it is expected to further boost the excitement surrounding the tournaments.
However, please note that cash, gift certificates, and other items of monetary value are still not permitted as prizes.
Please refer to the Capcom Community Tournament Guidelines for details.
