COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. has announced that the Ver. 5.1 "The Rainbow Destined to Burn" update for "Genshin Impact" is scheduled for release on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
In Ver. 5.1, the new character Xilonen will be introduced, a new story for the Natlan Archon Quest will be unlocked, and a new event is also planned.
System improvements will also be implemented to enhance the gaming experience.
Genshin Impact Ver. 5.1 Update Release Date Confirmed!
The Ver. 5.1 "The Rainbow Destined to Burn" update for Genshin Impact is confirmed to be released on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
With the Ver. 5.1 update, the new Natlan character Xilonen will appear, a new story will be unlocked, and a theme event will be sheld, which will significantly advance the Natlan Archon Quest story.
Players can look forward to the story developments in Natlan and the content of the theme event!
New 5-Star Character Xilonen Appears!

Xilonen is a renowned Name Engraver of Nanatzcayan who is skilled at balancing a mountain of work with a comfortable life.
When moving, unlike the usual climbing action, she can effortlessly glide and jump along steep cliffs.
In combat, she uses her unique combat equipment Geo Samplers to provide support effects such as lowering enemies' Elemental Resistance and healing her allies.
There are three Samplers, each with a recorded Geo Elemental audio sample, which can be instantly activated when her Elemental Skill is used.
When activated, the enemy's Geo Resistance is lowered, and Xilonen's Normal Attack and Plunging Attack damage is enhanced.
Additionally, when Xilonen is at a party with characters of the following elements, the color and Elemental attribute of the audio sample will change:
- Hydro
- Pyro
- Cryo
- Electro
By accumulating a full Nightsoul points with only Normal Attacks, she can lower the corresponding Elemental Resistance of enemies.
Changing the color of two or more audio samples will hasten their activation. This will also cause her Elemental Burst's Geo area damage to instead heal the HP of the characters on the field..
Furthermore, when Xilonen activates Nightsoul's Blessing state, she can restore a certain amount of Phlogiston for her team members.

A New Archon Quest Story Added!
PR TIMESIn Ver. 5.1, new stories "Act III" and "Act IV" of the Natlan Archon Quest will be added.

In "Act III" and "Act IV," as you and Xilonen cooperate to find a way to forge the Traveler's original name, Citlalifrom the Masters of the Night-Wind, finally appears and lends a hand.

Additionally, by clearing the two acts of the Archon Quest that will be released in Ver. 5.1, you can earn a bonus of 500 Primogems.

System Improvements in Ver. 5.1!
In Ver. 5.1, updates are planned for the following areas:
- Spiral Abyss
- Character Ascension
- Artifacts
- Echo cosmetics
and more.
For the Spiral Abyss, a new skip function will be added, allowing you to skip Floor 9 if you cleared Floor 11 with the maximum stars in the previous version, and to skip Floors 9 and 10 if you cleared Floor 12 with the maximum stars.
Character Ascension will be more intuitive, and for some materials, you can directly check the source materials in your bag.
A filter function for synthesis recipes will be added to the Crafting Bench, making material management more convenient.
On the character's Artifact screen, the filter and sort settings for Artifact sets and individual stats will be automatically saved, so you will no longer have to set them from scratch each time.
In addition, by clearing the latest version of "Envisaged Echoes," you will be able to obtain the new Echo cosmetics for Zhongli and Keqing.
