The Japan eSports Union (JeSU) announced the recognition of three new organizations, Akita Prefecture, Saga Prefecture, and Kumamoto Prefecture, as JeSU Local Chapters.
Activities will begin in August 2020.
The three prefectural organizations that have been certified as JeSU local chapters will begin their activities in August 2020. This brings the total number of JeSU local chapters to 25.
JeSU has a contract to eventually establish chapters in all 47 prefectures in Japan, and this latest accreditation means that it has exceeded the majority of the planned number of chapters.
