In case of dirt, etc.

If dirt or grime gets on the main unit or Joy-Con, wipe it gently with a soft, clean cloth that has been wetted with water and wrung out tightly.
If there is too much water, it may get inside the Joy-Con and cause it to malfunction, so be sure to wring it out thoroughly. A hard cloth may scratch the inside of the unit, so a soft cloth should be used.
Organic solvents such as thinner and benzene should not be used.

When disinfecting

In this day and age, you will want to disinfect your Nintendo Switch, but there are certain things you are allowed to use for disinfection.
To disinfect, use a commercially available disinfectant with a concentration of 70% alcohol, lightly moisten a soft cloth, and gently wipe the Switch.
It is important to note that disinfectants or solutions other than alcohol should not be used.
Also, do not use alcohol that is not intended for disinfection, such as alcohol for fuel, as it may damage the equipment.
If disinfectant solution is poured or soaked directly on the equipment, water contained in the disinfectant solution may enter the equipment and cause it to malfunction, so be careful not to use excessive amounts of disinfectant solution.
Also, after disinfection, make sure the equipment is completely dry before turning it on. Use of the equipment under non-drying conditions may result in equipment malfunction.
