These are smartphones with a vertical folding style, characterized by folding into a compact size that fits snugly into a pocket when closed.
Furthermore, they are equipped with a large outer display that can be used even when closed.
For simple operations such as checking social media, taking pictures, or making calls, there's no need to open the phone.

"razr 60 Ultra" is a high-end model equipped with the "Snapdragon 8 Elite" chipset.
In addition to a luxurious design and usability when folded, it is a smartphone that doesn't compromise on performance, and featuring an AI button for summoning the latest AI.

Although the slight crease at the fold is noticeable when touching the display, it seems capable of handling gaming.

I felt it would be useful when you need to quickly check notifications or when you open a map app and search for a store by voice.

Color Variations
The body comes in 4 color variations: Cabaret, a slightly pinkish color, Mountain Trail, which features a wood texture, Rio Red, with a red leather-like finish, and Scarab, which has a fabric finish.
A characteristic of recent Motorola smartphones is the absence of standard colors like white and black.
Since the surface finish is not the glass type found on many smartphones, there is likely little need for a case.

The AI button on the side is located exactly where your thumb rests when the body is closed, allowing you to press it immediately to summon moto ai.
Recent smartphones have enhanced AI features, but Motorola is also marketing the AI features of the razr 60 series as a key strength, emphasizing them alongside the hardware evolution.
Similar to other companies' smartphones, moto ai can generate images from rough sketches, summarize long texts, transcribe recorded audio, and more.
It also has features that allow the AI to analyze screen content to save information or integrate with other apps.
Furthermore, it supports Google, Perplexity (third-party), and Microsoft Copilot.

Furthermore, it lacks the AI button and is positioned as an iterative model with updates to the chipset and exterior based on the previous model (razr 50).
Currently, the planned selling price can only be confirmed in Taiwan.
In Taiwan, the razr 60 Ultra with 16GB memory / 512GB storage is priced at 39,900 Taiwanese dollars (178,000 yen), and the razr 60 with 8GB / 256GB is priced at 23,990 Taiwanese dollars (approx. 107,000 yen).
Thus, they are making it possible to choose between two models depending on whether performance or price is prioritized.
We would like to wait for an announcement from Motorola regarding the release date outside of Taiwan and the selling price in Japan.
