Pokémon Inc. and Nippon Television Network Corporation have announced the "National High School Pokémon Un ite Championship 2023" (Pokémon Unite Koshien 2023), an e-sports tournament for high school students!

Pokémon Unite Koshien 2023, an e-sports tournament for high school students, has been announced! Pokémon Unite Koshien will be held for the first time in 2022 and will be held for the second time following last summer. Last year, a total of 223 teams and 219 schools entered the competition, with a total of approximately 1,200 high school students participating. A total of approximately 1,200 high school students competed in last year's competition, and a heated battle ensued for the title of Japan's No. 1 high school team.

The schedule for the Pokémon Unite Koshien 2023 tournament is as follows: On June 3 (Sat.) and 4 (Sun.), 2023, regional qualifying rounds will be held online, and the representatives of each region will be decided by dividing the country into four regions. On Sunday, August 6, 2023, the four winning teams from the regional qualifiers will compete in a national tournament at the NTV studios! The national tournament will be broadcast as a "Pokémon Unite Koshien Special" on the eSports support program " eGG" after the tournament, and will include footage of the tournament, behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews with the participating players!

Entry for the tournament will start in early April 2023. Entry to the tournament will open in early April 2023 and is free of charge to all students enrolled in high schools (including part-time and correspondence courses) and technical colleges in Japan, so high school Unite players nationwide are encouraged to enter!
