Special rule "Character ban"

"Street Fighter League: Pro-JP operated by RAGE" will adopt the special rule of "Character Ban".
Before the match, each team will nominate one character to be banned from their team. During the match, the character nominated for ban by the opposing team will not be allowed to be used.
Especially since the character used by each team leader is widely known, the game situation is likely to change drastically depending on which character is nominated for the ban.

"I am simply looking forward to the character ban rule. I feel that with this rule, it will no longer be a matter of simply catching someone who is universally strong, and that chemistry within the team members will also be necessary. In the last SFL, we came in third place, but it was largely due to the success of our team members, so this time, as the leader, I want to earn the win myself! "

UMEHARA GOLD

"Unless there is a project like this, this is an individual fighting game, but it is very fresh and fun to be able to work together with younger players to achieve a single goal. Last time, it led to the discovery of new young players. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of players will emerge this time. "

"The character ban rule is unique this time, but for me it's like a double main with Zangief and Abigail, so personally I think I'll be ready to "go for it". "

The appeal of team competition

As commented by Umehara, the leader of the team "UMEHARA GOLD", fighting games are basically individual competitions, but with the adoption of the character ban rule in addition to team competitions, we can expect matches to develop beyond individual skills alone.
