Tekken 8, the latest title in Bandai Namco's 3D fighting game "Tekken" series, is the first in the series in five years, and a closed alpha test was held at EVO Japan 2023 in March 2023. Tekken 8 CNT has been announced. At the CNT, players will be able to experience Tekken 8 battles, including the "Heat System" battle system. The 16 playable characters that will appear at the CNT are as follows

- Heat timer limits (heat activation time) have been changed depending on the heat activation method.
- Heat Smash" command has been standardized for all playable characters.

Tekken 8 CNT is open from June 9, 2023 (Fri.) 22:00 to June 27, 2023 (Tue.) 17:00 Japan time. The dates for Week 1 will be Friday, July 21, 2023 from 17:00 to Monday, July 24, 2023 from 16:00 Japan time, and Week 2 will be Friday, July 28, 2023 from 17:00 to Monday, July 31, 2023 from 16:00 Japan time. Please note that only PS5 is the only platform eligible to participate in Week 1. If you are selected, you will receive notification to your registered email address from around 16:00 on July 19, 2023 (Wednesday) for PS5 applicants, and from around 16:00 on July 26, 2023 (Wednesday) for Xbox Series X|S and Steam applicants.
