A teaser video for "THE KING OF FIGHTERS Dot Battle" was released at the SNK booth at "Tokyo Game Show 2024," which was held at Makuhari Messe for four days from Thursday, September 26, 2024, to Sunday, September 29, 2024. "THE KING OF FIGHTERS Dot Battle" is an idle RPG being developed by Netmarble, which has also developed titles such as "Lineage 2: Revolution" and "The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross".
It features a system that allows players to collect popular characters from throughout the "THE KING OF FIGHTERS" series, which has at least 15 titles in its numbered lineup. It also features a unique combat system that differentiates it from the conventional "THE KING OF FIGHTERS" series.
Also, since it uses the pixel graphics from "THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2," which was developed based on the fifth numbered title, "THE KING OF FIGHTERS '98," it offers a new take on "THE KING OF FIGHTERS" while providing a retro atmosphere.
