The lineup consists of 3 product lines and 4 models, with pre-orders starting on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, and sales beginning on Friday, March 28, 2025.

The "ROG Phone 9 series," which had already started its global rollout, has been announced for Japan.

The lineup consists of:

• ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition (ROG9PRO-BK24R1T)
• ROG Phone 9 Pro (ROG9PRO-BK16R512)
• ROG Phone 9 (ROG9-WH12R256)
• ROG Phone 9 (ROG9-BK12R256)

...3 product lines and 4 models.

"ROG Phone 9 series" is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform, the current highest-end SoC.
With up to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of spacious storage, it delivers top-tier performance for both everyday use and gaming purposes.

The battery uses a 5,800mAh dual-cell battery.
It supports Qi standard wireless charging up to 15W and 65W wired fast charging.
The "ROG Phone"'s familiar USB Type-C ports mounted vertically and horizontally do not hinder gameplay while charging.

The display uses a Samsung 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display featuring a refresh rate of up to 185Hz.
Significant power consumption reduction can also be achieved by using the 1-120Hz variable refresh rate function leveraging LTPO technology.

The integrated management app "Armoury Crate" and the "Game Genie" function, offering around 26 assist tools, enhance gameplay comfort.
For example, using "X Sense 3.0" reportedly allows users to automate in-game item collection or automatically improve character skills through AI image recognition.
Furthermore, "AI Grabber 2.0" can reportedly read in-game text using AI and search for strategy information online, and can also translate into Japanese.
Note that the "Game Genie" function can only be used with specific apps.

Series' First eSIM Support

"ROG Phone 9 series" supports eSIM for the first time in the series, in addition to the conventional two physical SIM slots!
Dual SIM Dual VoLTE is available in a configuration of "two physical SIMs" or "physical SIM and eSIM."

AI Transcription and Call Translation Without Network Connection

The "ROG Phone 9 series," which represents a steady evolution with the latest SoC, a display supporting up to 185Hz, and the series' first eSIM support, is finally set to release in Japan.
The release date for each product is Friday, March 28, 2025.
On the same day, dedicated accessories such as the "ROG Chill Case," "AeroActive Cooler X Pro," "AeroActive Cooler X," and "Antibacterial Glass Screen Protector (For ROG Phone 9 Series)" are also scheduled for simultaneous release.
