Report on the “Plaud New Products & Latest AI Features Hands-On Event”! Global cumulative user count surpasses 3 million

Plaud’s global cumulative user count surpassed 3 million in September 2026.
While it took approximately 9 months to grow from 1 million to 2 million users, the company reached 3 million from 2 million in just 5 months, indicating that its growth is accelerating.

Plaud ranked 16th on the Top 50 Consumer AI Apps list released by a16z.
The number of stores where the app is available in Japan has also exceeded 1,000, making Japan Plaud’s second-largest market worldwide.

Moving forward, in addition to expanding its offerings for individual users through official stores and retail locations nationwide, the company will also strengthen its initiatives for corporate clients.
Plaud is currently used by more than 16,000 companies and organizations in Japan. Centered around “Plaud Team”—which enables centralized management and sharing of records at the organizational level—the company plans to expand adoption from department-level implementations to company-wide deployments.
The earbud-style wearable AI device “Plaud One” has been announced!

" Plaud One " is an earbud-style wearable AI device built around the concept of "Just speak, and the mission is complete."
It consists of completely wireless earbuds and a charging case with a built-in eSIM. Simply speak naturally into the case or the earbuds, and the AI will record and understand the conversation, even carrying out tasks on your behalf.
Built-in eSIM Ensures Constant Connectivity Even Without a Smartphone

The charging case comes with a pre-installed eSIM, so no contract with a mobile carrier is required.
It supports 4G LTE connectivity in over 80 countries and regions, including Japan, allowing you to upload recorded data and use the AI agent without Wi-Fi or a smartphone—all at no data cost.
Recorded data is automatically uploaded to the cloud, where it is transcribed and summarized.
Since it’s always online, summary notes are created immediately after a meeting ends, and you can get the answers you need right away.
Press and hold the button on the case to launch the AI agent

The charging case features two buttons: the “Agent Button ” and the “Record Button.”
Press and hold the Agent Button, then say, “Summarize today’s meeting and create a follow-up for the team,” and the AI agent will compile that day’s meeting into a single follow-up.
Once you’ve reviewed the content, you can send it right away.
Press and hold the Record button to start recording, or tap it briefly to highlight important moments.
Responses from the agent are delivered audibly through your earbuds or the charging case’s speaker.

You can also activate the AI agent by saying “Hey Plaud” into the earbuds.
If you ask, “Hey Plaud, give me a briefing on the next meeting,” it will gather relevant information from past calls and read it aloud through the earbuds.
Please note that the “Hey Plaud” feature is scheduled to be added in a future update.
ANC Support Makes Them Suitable for Everyday Use

These in-ear earbuds support up to 40 dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and an ambient sound mode.
I tried them out myself, and even though they don’t have ear tips, I could really feel that they effectively blocked out surrounding noise when I turned on the noise cancellation.
They feature a 12mm dynamic driver and support LDAC.

One thing that caught my attention was how to open the case.
The direction in which it actually opens is the opposite of what you might expect based on the orientation of the logo and wavy design on the top, so it might be a bit confusing at first glance.
Pre-registration is now open! The price is 44,000 yen (tax included).

"Plaud One" is scheduled for release in limited quantities sometime in 2026.

The "Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition" with enhanced recording accuracy has also been announced!

The "Plaud Note Pro Flow Edition" is a new model of the card-style AI voice recorder "Plaud Note Pro."
While retaining its slim design, it significantly streamlines post-recording workflows.

Once recording is complete, the device detects when a smartphone is nearby via Bluetooth and automatically transfers the recording data to the Plaud app.
If you set up automatic summarization once, the AI will transcribe and summarize the recording as soon as the data reaches the app.
Please note that automatic transfer is currently supported only on iPhones.

Equipped with a new, higher-precision microphone than previous models, the improved sound capture performance enhances the accuracy of both transcription and summarization.
It features four Super Mics with a signal-to-noise ratio (S/N) of 68 dB, utilizing AI-powered directional sound capture technology; in voice enhancement mode, it can clearly record voices from up to 5 meters away.
It features a slim and lightweight design—credit card-sized, 2.99 mm thick, and weighing just 30 g.
It also features an AMOLED display, up to 50 hours of recording time, and support for Apple’s “Find My” feature.
