れいか氏が濵田酒造の薩摩金山蔵ツアーにて試飲体験!蔵元限定や金箔入りのお酒は一体どんな味!?
Review

Continuing from the previous article, here is a review of the sake tasting experience at the Hamada Sake Brewery's Satsuma Kinzan Brewery tour. The Satsuma Kinzan Brewery tour includes a trolley ride through the tunnels (no tasting) and a " special tasting course " for those over 20 years old (the brand of sake tasted changes depending on the event). After learning about the history of the Satsuma Kinzan Storehouse, it's time to drink! Perhaps it was the smell of aged shochu wafting from the depths of the underground cavern that lured us in, but we couldn't wait to start drinking! We will give a full review of the tour, rejoicing in the fact that we could drink alcohol in the daytime with Reika, a sake lover, and Reina-chan, our photographer!

Shochu, sake, plum wine... a blissful lineup!

Sake we tasted this time

  • Fukukinzan (sweet potato shochu)
  • Kanayama Kura, stored in a jar in a pit (Imojochu)
  • Kinzankura Umeshu (liqueur)
  • Satsushu Masamune pure rice sake (sake)

and a special three-year-stored Satsuma-yakyu (Satsuma sake) by courtesy of Hamada Shuzo.

  • Satsuma shochu Kanayamagura (sweet potato shochu)

We were able to sample three bottles of sweetpotato shochu and a bottle of Japanese sake! The lineup included three bottles of sweet potato shochu, sake, and liqueur.

If I were to express this feeling, it would be " Thanks for the sake arare "!

I was very curious to see what the sake would taste like, since I had never imagined sake from Kagoshima, the shochu kingdom.

The "Fukukinzan (sweet potato shochu)" and "Satsushu Masamune Daiginjo-shu" are also visually pleasing, with gold leaf and gold as the theme of the sake brewery!

Girls love sparkling things, don't they?

Let's start with "Fukukinzan"!

"福金山 金箔入り""

The bottle is gorgeous from the outside, with a fresh blue bottle and a golden package with a festive design. When the bottle is gently tipped over, the gold leaf shimmers and shimmers, making it a shochu that can be enjoyed even outside of drinking.

The gold leaf is beautiful even when it is poured into a glass, and the girlish heart inside me gets excited! ( Cute glitter, right?! ).

I'll start with the straight...

"...! " " Kuh! It's not like that!

"

The smell is fresh and fruity, with a taste that soaks up the alcohol from the moment you drink it. It is a sake with a refreshing taste and a slight sweetness of sweetpotato in the aftertaste that is not habit-forming.

We tasted "Satsuma Shochu Kinzankura" after this, but I thought it was lighter in taste than that.

The recommended way to drink it is on the rocks or with water, which makes it easier to enjoy the original flavor.

Next, "Kinzankura Kondouchi Jar

"Kinzankura Kondouchi Jar Storage" is another sweetpotato shochu made with special "golden malted rice" and matured slowly in a large jar inside a tunnel.

The large gold font is powerful and conveys the deep history and powerful image of the shochu and the gold mine!

How different is the same golden malted rice...here we go!

" Kuh~!

"

Despite the robust packaging, it has a gentle flavor that spreads softly in the mouth as soon as you put it in your mouth. A clean, fruity aroma spreads, and the alcohol is not heavy but has a sharpness that spreads in the mouth!

Also, the alcohol that spreads in the mouth has little miscellaneous taste and is recommended for those who want to enjoy a mature atmosphere. I think you can fully enjoy the sharpness of this sake if you drink it with soda or on the rocks!

Cute "Kinzankura Umeshu"

This sake is a limited edition sake from the brewery, and was previously sold in the " Kinzankura Umeshu Long-Term

" collaboration with " Drifters," a popular otherworldly reincarnation manga featuring the character "Toyohisa Shimazu. The Hamada Shuzo brewery gave the Saiga NAK editorial team a bottle of the " Drifters Collaboration", which is now available for tasting ( also available in the online store ).

Mr. Reika and Reinachin were not around at the time, so the unfamiliar bottle shape and cute plum flower I couldn't stop being excited by the unfamiliar shape of the bottle and the cute plum flower design!

Moreover, the combination of the gold color of the gold leaf and the red color of the plum wine was a celebratory one, and the beautiful hue convinced me that it was definitely a delicious sake!

First of all, straight up...

The brown sugar in this sake gives it a mellow richness and a strong sweetness of plum wine.

However, the taste is free of the cloying taste of plums, and after one sip, somehow another sip... I'm captivated by this sake!

And when we added carbonated soda to this sake...

" Phew!

"

The rich plum wine from earlier is quickly transformed into a refreshing sour. The rich sweetness of the drink is blown away by the carbonation, so it is sure to be a hit with everyone!

We recommend drinking it on the rocks to enjoy the mellow plum sweetness, then adding soda for an impressive change in taste!

" Drink it! It will make you fly!

long-awaited "Satsushu

I wasn't aware of it because I had a strong image of

shochu, but Kagoshima Prefecture produces a wide variety of sake, and Hamada Shuzo's Satsuma Kinzan brewery also makes Japanese sake! (There are only two breweries that make sake in Kagoshima Prefecture... so it's very valuable!) ) Reika is also a sake brewer.

Reika also loves sake!

But his preference is for dry sake, but what the hell...

" It's sweet but easy to drink!

"

It comes in your mouth like water and the sweetness of the rice melts gently into your mouth. And then, oh my goodness, the sweetness of the rice in the aftertaste slowly leaves and your mouth is reset.

There is no sweetness that sticks in your throat, and the smell is citrusy and refreshing, like "I'm here to change the atmosphere in your mouth! " instead of "I'm going to interrupt you for a minute - phew!" and come in and refresh your mouth with this sake that has a sissy feel to it.

This sake has a delicate sweet taste, so I thought it would go well with all kinds of food!

The last one is "Satsuma Shochu Kanayamagura"

"薩摩焼酎 金山蔵"

This sake was introduced in the Satsuma Kanayamagura tour section. This sake is also a long-aged shochu made with a special " golden malted rice" used only in Satsuma Kanayamagura.

Reika tasted it straight at first.

The aroma of sweetpotato is gorgeous, and the mouthfeel is gentle even though it has a high alcohol content! It has a salty taste at first, and then the sweetness of the sweetpotato comes in later. This is a taste that shochu lovers can't get enough of!

We recommend drinking it with soda or hot water!

You can taste the full sweetpotato flavor and you will never get tired of drinking it.

The bottle is cool, so it makes a good gift!

Reika also tried the "Time Capsule Shochu"!

Reika tries "Time Capsule Shochu"
Saiga NAK

Since she came all the way to Satsuma Kinzan Brewery in Kagoshima, she tried " Time Capsule Shochu "!

The official name of this time capsule shochu is an aged sweetpotato shochu called " Fortune Comes with Aging ".

You write a message on the bottle, put it on the bottle, and let it slowly sleep in the tunnel, waiting for it to mature.

You can keep it for up to five years, but there are some who say, "I want to keep it longer," or "It

's not time to drink yet

! or "It's not time to drink yet," you can request a longer period of time for a fee.

You don't have to go to the site to pick up your aged shochu, it will be shipped to you, so you will receive your sake from your past self when you forget about it. Also, since there is no charge for the trolley during the time you leave your sake with us, you can go and check up on your sake and see if it is aging well.

I can't wait to have the sweet potato shochu that I put my heart and soul into matured in that big Satsuma Kinzan warehouse, "Please take care of my child.

I was thinking of something like "I'

ll take good care of my child.

" and I was oystering...

bottle

.

Saiga NAK

When I finished writing, I put the message on the bottle...

ドーン!

Saiga NAK

Finished!

I wrote so many things that I wanted to write too much (sweat).

Most of the people who received this bottle service had a two-word message, so you don't have to write like this. You can also draw an illustration!

Let's wait and enjoy the message and the alcohol that will be sent to you in a few years! (We also offer this service in our online store, so you can apply from anywhere in Japan).

You can sign up for a tasting at the Hamada Sake Brewery's Satsuma Kinzan brewery tour!

If you want to drink sake, you can sign up for a special tasting course at Hamada Sake Brewery's Satsuma Kinzan Brewery Tour, which is limited to those over 20 years old. There is also a course without tasting, so those who cannot drink alcohol can also apply for the tour.

Also, it is really recommended to enjoy the culture and history of the Satsuma Kinzan warehouse before tasting the sake, as it will make the sake taste even better! Moreover, some of the sakes are limited editions of the brewery, so you can taste sakes that you cannot usually drink at stores, and you can purchase the sakes you like at the store inside the Kanayama brewery or at the online store directly managed by the brewery, which is great for sake lovers.

Tours are offered on a regular basis, so please check the Hamada Sake Brewery "Brewery Tour" for details.
