Unboxing the VSPO! GEAR Gaming Keyboard Vol. 1 Ichinose Uruha Edition: Great Features, Even Better Design
Review

With the recent adjustment to aim assist in "Apex Legends," I've been thinking it's finally time to transition to keyboard and mouse.
It was perfect timing, as the VSPO! GEAR Gaming Keyboard Vol. 1 Ichinose Uruha Edition I ordered in April had just arrived.
Let's unbox it.

The box itself has a very elaborate design.
I'm definitely going to keep it. Absolutely.

Finally, the keyboard is revealed!

The box contains the following:

  • VSPO! GEAR Gaming Keyboard Body x 1
  • Coiled Cable x 1 (2m)
  • Replacement Keycaps: ESC x 1, Space x 1
  • Keycap Removal Tool x 1
  • Key Switch Removal Tool x 1
  • USB A-to-C Cable
  • Instruction Manual x 1

Personally, I'm very happy about the coiled cable.
Since I use the same PC for work and gaming and my desk setup differs for each, the ability to easily move the keyboard in and out without worrying about cable management is a huge plus.

I debated whether to use the replacement keycaps, but for now, I think I'll stick with the defaults.
I'll be keeping them safe along with the outer box.

Even the default keys incorporate design elements throughout.
As a big fan of VSPO!, I'm delighted.

Here's a size comparison with the REALFORCE TKL SA I was using previously.
While the REALFORCE TKL SA weighs 1.1 kg, the VSPO! GEAR Gaming Keyboard is 985 g without the cable.
With the cable included, it should be about the same weight, but it has a stable heft that eliminates concerns about it shifting during use.
The main unit dimensions are approximately 369 mm wide x 146 mm deep x 40.5 mm high, a perfect size to fit on my desk.

The reason I chose this keyboard wasn't just because it's from VSPO!.
Well, that was certainly a major factor, but the balance between features and price was also excellent.

Of particular importance to me were the inclusion of features crucial for gaming performance, such as Rapid Trigger, and the typing sound.
Since I'll be using it for daily tasks as well, typing sound is important.
However, as it was only available for purchase online, I couldn't test it in a store. But, on the VSPO! GEAR official website, they actually provide sample audio of the typing sound!
The satisfying and appropriately quiet typing sound was the deciding factor for my purchase.

All things considered, a keyboard with Rapid Trigger, variable actuation points, and an original design for 27,500 yen (tax included) is an incredible deal.
The first run included keyboards for 8 members, and the second run for 10. While the sales period has passed, there's a possibility of new versions being released, so I highly recommend keeping an eye out if you're interested.

Honestly, I want another one.
There are still members who haven't had keyboards released yet, and I'm also looking forward to VSPO! EN releasing English layout keyboards.
