― Please tell us your current feelings once again.

Virgo: I struggled a lot to adapt to this environment, but I also felt like I was getting into top form over these past two days.
Even when the bracket was reset in the Grand Finals, it was good that I was able to switch my mindset and win it all.

― What did you think when the bracket was reset?

Virgo: Partway through, I switched to Jeffry once with the feeling that it was fine even if it got reset.
I think that character change served as a mental reset for me as well.

― How will you use the prize money?

Virgo: Hmm... maybe for retirement funds? (laughs)

― Last year featured a team battle, and this year the main tournament was held as an individual competition.

Virgo: I finished in 3rd place at EVO Japan 2023 (Virtua Fighter esports), so I was remembering that frustration.
This time I was able to stay in the Winners bracket until the Top 8, so I went in with full spirit, thinking I had a real chance.

― How do you perceive the stage of EVO?

Virgo: I am often called a silver collector, and since a very good chance came my way within that context, I felt I had to win this.
I often glance at the spectator seats when a round or a match ends, and my teammates were shouting encouragement.
There were parts where I was really helped by those cheers.

― You seemed to be in good form in recent tournaments as well.

Virgo: I was the runner-up at the VIRTUA FIGHTER Open Championship Global Finals, but Tonchan (@tonchan1456), who won there, lost midway through EVO Japan 2026.
As the same teammate, there was pressure that I had to win for Tonchan and chinpanJ (@chinpanj) as well.

― Please tell us the appeal of Virtua Fighter, for which a new title is also in production.

Virgo: Virtua Fighter is a simple yet deep high-speed Rock-Paper-Scissors game, so if you become interested by watching the tournament, I would be happy if you would give it a try!
