SEGA CORPORATION announced that it will hold the offline event 1st Sakatsuku King Championship for the sports management simulation game "Let's Make a Soccer Team! Road to World" (hereafter "Sakatsuku RTW") on Sunday, February 23, 2025, which is "Sakatsuku Day."

PR TIMESSakatsuku RTW is a mobile adaptation of SEGA's popular soccer game "Sakatsuku." It retains the best parts of the original "Sakatsuku," such as club management, player development and training, and tense match progression, but with simple controls that make it easy for anyone to play.
Furthermore, with the series' first-ever simultaneous worldwide release, players can compete against others from around the globe to become the "World's No. 1 Soccer Club."
And now, it has been decided that the user-participation offline event 1st Sakatsuku King Championship will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, which is "Sakatsuku Day."
This offline event is a tournament where top-ranking players from the Master Division of the 63rd, 64th, and 65th "SUPER WORLD CLUB CUP (SWCC)" will gather to battle for the title of "First Sakatsuku King."
SEGA also plans to recruit attendees for the event, and it is considering a presentation of new information and an event with a special guest on the day, so stay tuned for more news!
After the tournament, there are also plans for a social gathering with food and drinks, which will include the players, attendees, and members of the Sakatsuku development and management teams.

Eligibility (invited players and reserve players)
- Must be 20 years or older as of February 23, 2025
- Must reside in Japan
- Must have a Sakatsuku RTW game account and have won or been a runner-up in the Master Division of the 63rd, 64th, or 65th SWCC (invited player spot)
- Must have participated in the Master Division of the 63rd, 64th, or 65th SWCC and met the selection criteria (reserve player spot)
- Must be able to stay overnight at the accommodation designated by the tournament operations team the day before the 1st Sakatsuku King Championship
- Must agree to have the tournament streamed
