Riot Games LLC, the Japanese subsidiary of Riot Games, Inc., announced the future of esports development for the PC MOBA "League of Legends."
It was revealed that the 2025 World Championships will be held in Canada and China.
2025 Season Kicks Off Sequentially from January 12
Professional "League of Legends" leagues around the world will kick off sequentially starting Sunday, January 12, 2025.
The adoption of a new system called Fearless Draft is forcing pro teams worldwide to adapt.

"MSI" to be Held in Canada, "Worlds" in China
"MSI 2025" will be held in Vancouver, Canada, from Friday, June 27, 2025, to Saturday, July 12, 2025.
This marks the first "LoL Esports" event in Canada since 2017.
"MSI 2025" will feature two teams from each of the five global regions, with the top two regions receiving additional slots for "Worlds 2025."
"Worlds 2025" is scheduled to be held in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu, China.
A total of 17 teams will participate: three teams from each region, plus one team from the second-place region of "MSI 2025" and one team from the winning region of "MSI 2025."
Notably, starting this year, the one-week break between the quarterfinals and semifinals will be eliminated.
The condensed schedule will keep the audience's excitement high until the finals.
