Riot Games, Inc., the Japanese subsidiary of Riot Games, Inc., announced the future e-sports expansion of its PC MOBA "League of Legends. The 2025 World Championship will be held in Canada and China.

The 2025 season will begin on January 12 and onward.

MSI" will be held in Canada, "Worlds" in China

MSI 2025 will be held in Vancouver, Canada from Friday, June 27 to Saturday, July 12, 2025. This is the first time in 2017 that a LoL Esports event will be held in Canada. MSI 2025 will feature two teams from each of the five regions of the world, with the top two teams from each region receiving an additional slot at Worlds 2025.

The "Worlds 2025" will be held in Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu, China. A total of 17 teams will participate, including three teams from each region, one team from the region that finished second in MSI 2025, and one team from the region that won MSI 2025. The one-week gap between the quarterfinals and semifinals will be eliminated this year. The schedule has been shortened, and the excitement of the spectators will not cease until the finals.
