Nintendo has changed the purchase requirements for the Nintendo Switch 2 on the My Nintendo Store starting Monday, May 25, 2026. The previous requirement of "50 hours or more of Nintendo Switch play time" will be eliminated.
The conditions for purchasing "Nintendo Switch 2" on the My Nintendo Store have been changed!

From May 25, 2026 (Monday), the purchase conditions for "Nintendo Switch 2 (Japanese and domestic only)" and "Nintendo Switch 2 (multi-language support)" on My Nintendo Store will be changed. The previous purchase condition included the requirement of "having played Nintendo Switch for more than 50 hours as of 23:59 on December 21, 2025 (Sunday)".
After the change, there will be only one purchase requirement
- One Nintendo Switch 2 (Japanese and domestic only) and one Nintendo Switch 2 (multi-language) per Nintendo Account.
The purchase conditions also include past purchases made through lottery sales and invitational sales on the My Nintendo Store. The purchase conditions and the number of units available for purchase may change depending on future sales.
In addition, the price of "Nintendo Switch 2" and "Nintendo Switch" itself will be revised as follows on May 25, 2026 (Monday).
- Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese language, domestic exclusive: 59,980 yen (including tax)
- Nintendo Switch (OLED model): 47,980 yen (including tax)
- Nintendo Switch: 43,980 yen (including tax)
- Nintendo Switch Lite: 29,980 yen (including tax)
