Overwatch 2 Season 4 will start on Wednesday, April 12, 2023! The first event of Season 4, the 3vs3 deathmatch "Bob and Weave," will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. The second half of the season will feature a space opera PvP event where players will join either the Watchers or the Infinite Empire in an epic battle for galactic supremacy. It's shaping up to be a pretty exciting season from the beginning to the end.
A new support hero, "Lifeweaver," will be introduced!
With the start of Season 4, the 37th new hero, Lifeweaver, has been introduced! He is the first Thai hero in Overwatch. Here are some comments from the developer, who is from Thailand, as well as Lifeweaver!
He grew up in a very wealthy family and had a great childhood. However, he was extraordinarily smart and did so well in school that his teachers and parents didn't know what to do with him, which was a problem. So they decided to send Leif Weaver to the Vishkar Architech Academy. There he met Symmetra, who became his roommate, and they came to understand each other. Symmetra was the only friend LifeWeaver could befriend. As LifeWeaver grew up, he learned that the Vishkar Corporation was harming the natural world he loved, so he created a technology called BioLight, which combined Vishkar's hard-light technology with his own. Vishkar tried to monetize the Biolite technology, but Leifweber said, "The technology belongs to the world," and he fled with it. As a result, the relationship between Symmetra and LifeWeaver cracked. You will learn more about this in the game's dialogue, so we hope that you will enjoy his story.
