With only 44 days left until the release of "Resident Evil RE:4" on Friday, March 24, 2023, new information about Resident Evil has been revealed! A new CG feature film, " Resident Evil: Death Island," will be released in the summer of 2023!

The title of the new CG feature film is "Resident Evil: Death Island." The teaser visual shows the familiar characters "Leon S. Kennedy" and "Chris Redfield. The center of the image depicts Alcatraz Island, the setting of the film.

Since the release of "Resident Evil" in 1996, the Resident Evil series has established the survival horror genre. In recent years, the series has been gaining more and more recognition through a vigorous media mix, including original goods, theme park attractions, and live-action films.

"Resident Evil: Death Island" reunites the production team behind "Resident Evil: Vendetta" (2017) and "Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness" (2021). Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness" in 2021.

The teaser video begins with a scene in which zombies of unknown origin are attacking people. The people being attacked seem to be ordinary people in normal clothes. Alcatraz Island is a prison island that was once used as a prison, but is now open to tourists.

The film's main characters, "Leon S. Kennedy" and "Chris Redfield," investigate a zombie outbreak of unknown origin centered in San Francisco, and discover that all of the virus' victims have visited Alcatraz. Leon and Chris take a ferry to the island.

Underneath the ferry heading to Alcatraz is the shadow of some kind of giant shark-like fish.... In the video, the creature can be seen attacking from the sea with its large mouth. It may be the "Neptune," an organic life form weapon based on the great white shark that also appeared in "Resident Evil HD Remaster.

It is not easy to reach Alcatraz, an isolated island said to be unbreakable. Assassins attack from both water and land. The creature swimming in the water looks like "Ricker" who also appeared in "Resident Evil RE:2".

A mysterious figure appears for a moment in the middle of the video. The silhouette looks like a woman, but the details are unknown.

A blockbuster film by a great staff!

Resident Evil: Death Island" will reunite the production staff of "Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness", including director Eiichiro Hazumi. In addition, Makoto Fukami, who wrote the screenplay for "Resident Evil: Vendetta," has joined the team and is working hard to create a CG feature film worthy of the theatrical screen.

Following on from "Resident Evil: Vendetta," I was given the opportunity to write the screenplay for the new Resident Evil movie. I myself am a big fan of the original game, so I am very excited to be able to return to the "world with B.O.W." again. I started writing the script right after the release of "Resident Evil RE:3" (while playing it like crazy), and I'm now in a perpetual state of playing Resident Evil to save up energy to work on Resident Evil.
