Capcom Co., Ltd. has released a teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6's third Year 1 additional character, Ed, announcing that he will join the battle in February 2024.

Year 1 Additional Character 3: Ed

The Street Fighter series is a monumental franchise in the world of fighting games. With the series reaching its sixth numbered entry, a massive number of characters from throughout its history have appeared, but the next addition, Ed, originally debuted in Street Fighter V.

Ed has been known for his easy special move execution since the Street Fighter V era. His playstyle heavily utilizes rapid button pressing, simultaneous presses, and holding buttons down, requiring almost no directional lever inputs. In a way, his control scheme serves as the pioneer of the Modern Type.

While the teaser trailer does not showcase any combat scenes, all eyes are on how he will perform in Street Fighter 6. Additionally, the fourth Year 1 additional character, Akuma, is scheduled to arrive in spring 2024.
