Tokyo Game Show 2020, one of the largest game events in Japan, organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Society of Japan (CESA) and co-sponsored by Nikkei Business Publications, Inc. and Dentsu Inc., has announced the cancellation due to COVID-19.
Considering holding an online event
Tokyo Game Show 2020 was scheduled to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture from Thursday, September 24, 2020 to Sunday, September 27, 2020, but due to the global spread of the new coronavirus and the unpredictable situation in Japan, the show has been canceled. The decision was made after giving first priority to the health and safety of visitors, exhibitors, and related parties.
The regular event will be canceled, but an online event will be considered, and details will be announced on the Tokyo Game Show 2020 official website around the end of May.
