More powerful and comfortable!
"VR GO 3.0" is an upgraded version of the current "VR GO 2.0" model with a CPU upgrade from the Intel Core i7-8700T processor (6-core 2.4GHz, up to 4.0GHz) to the Intel Core i7-9750H processor (6-core/12-thread 2.6GHz, up to 4.0GHz). The GPU has been changed from NVIDIA GeForce️ GTX 1070 (8GB GDDR5 256bit) to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 (8GB GDDR6 256bit).
The CPU and GPU enhancements have resulted in a performance increase of approximately 150% over VR GO 2.0!
Running state-of-the-art VR requires the appropriate PC specs, so a small backpack type device has its limitations, but VR GO 3.0 is going to push the envelope and give you a new VR experience!
Being able to carry it on your back means that comfort is also important.
The backpack unit connected to the VR GO 3.0 is made of PU-coated polyester and is highly splash resistant.
It seems like a small but quite pleasant evolution to be comfortable even when used for long periods of time.
The popular performance has been retained.
The fact that it is a backpack type and can be carried on your back means that you will need a battery to run the PC.
However, a PC this powerful consumes a lot of power, so you might think it would be difficult to use it for long periods of time, but the VR GO 3.0 supports hot-swapping, which allows you to change the battery cartridge while the PC is running!
The LED indicator on the main unit shows the remaining battery level, so you know at a glance when it's time to swap batteries!
If you have a spare battery cartridge that has been charged, you can swap it out before the battery runs out, allowing you to enjoy the VR experience forever!
Of course, you can also connect an AC adapter to supply power, so you don't have to worry even if the battery is about to run out completely.
No matter how small it is in backpack form, it is a high-performance PC, so it weighs a certain amount.
In the case of the VR GO 3.0, it weighs 5.2 kg with two batteries and the backpack unit for carrying it on your back.
To solve this problem, the "VR GO 3.0" backpack is designed to evenly distribute the load on the body to reduce the weight and burden on the body!
The backpack unit is equipped with a supporter around the waist for a more secure and comfortable carrying experience.
The backpack unit has plenty of pockets to store wires and controllers.
The space between the VR GO 3.0 and the backpack unit is designed to allow airflow, so the heat from the PC is exhausted away from the body.
The heat from the PC is not transferred directly to your back, and the excellent airflow also prevents the PC from running out of heat.
Of course, the VR GO 3.0 is highly expandable, and it is easy to customize the default high spec "VR GO 3.0" to suit your needs and objectives.
You can easily change the memory and storage, and the six USB ports allow you to connect a wide variety of external devices.
Orders are now available at the official store!
The VR GO 3.0 is available for order at ZOTAC's official direct store from Tuesday, May 19, 2020!
The price is \298,000 JPY (excluding tax) (*$2,775.9 USD) and includes shipping.
The optional charge dock and battery pack for VR GO 3.0 and VR GO 2.0 will be available at the end of May 2020.
"VR GO 3.0" is not only for VR, but can also be used as a normal PC by removing it from the backpack unit and connecting it to a monitor, so it will be useful not only for VR but also as a high-spec PC for work, play, and other normal purposes.
With VR GO 3.0 and a head-mounted display, you can work even in places without a power supply, making it ideal for true teleworkers!
