Reviewing the “Uma Musume” × “KFC” Original Collaboration Set! A Collaboration Set Packed with Uma Musume

In this post, I’ll be reviewing the collaboration products from KFC and Uma Musume!
As the first installment of the collaboration, the “Uma Musume’s Yum-Yum! Kobu Mayo Dip Set ” will be available starting Wednesday, August 12,2026, followed by the second installment, the “Uma Musume’s Yum-Yum! Carrot Otcha-Ho-i Set,” starting Wednesday, September 9, 2026!

This is the “ Special Design Package ” containing the original collaboration sets!

This is the “UmaUma Kobu Mayo Dip Sauce,” a highlight of the first collaboration, the “Uma Musume’s UmaUma! Kobu Mayo Dip Set.”
It’s characterized by its orange color, inspired by carrots—the Uma Musume’s favorite food —and is said to pair perfectly with garlic and spices.
I can’t wait to try it…!

And here is the “ Carrot Otcha-hoi Shake-Shake Spice ” from the second collaboration, “Uma Musume’s Uma Uma! Carrot Otcha-hoi Set.”
It’s said to be inspired by “Carrot Otcha-hoi,” a phrase that appeared in a character’s dialogue in the movie *Uma Musume Pretty Derby: The Door to a New Era*.
It’s said to have a bold, punchy flavor with a kick of black pepper —I’m definitely curious about this one, too…!

You can enjoy “Carrot Otcha-hoi FuriFuri Spice” even more by putting it in the included special bag along with “Potato” or “Kernel Crispy” and giving it a good “shake”!
It’s great that the bag also features a lovely Uma Musume-themed design!

First up is the “Umauma Kobu Mayo Dip Sauce ”!
They say the color is inspired by carrots, and it really is a beautiful, vibrant orange.

As the rich, deep flavor of garlic spreads through my mouth, the spicy kick from the spices stimulates my palate just right.
Combined with the juiciness of the chicken, it takes the classic Original Chicken to a whole new level of satisfaction.
It’s a flavor so addictive, you’ll be hooked...!

Next, I’ll try it with the Kernel Crispy.

Here, too, the savory aroma of garlic and the kick of the spices strike a perfect balance.
Plus, the sauce pairs with the crispy, crunchy texture of the Kernel Crispy, subtly changing the mouthfeel.
It retains all the best qualities of the Kernel Crispy while creating a flavor that makes you want to eat even more!

It’s turned a slightly reddish, appetizing color!
All that shaking was definitely worth it.
Now let’s dig in!

This one also has a garlicky flavor, but unlike the “UmaUma Kobu Mayo Dip Sauce” from earlier, the black pepper comes through more strongly.
It has a robust flavor —it’s so satisfying it feels more like a main dish than a side.
Even though the seasoning packs a punch, it’s such high quality that, strangely enough, you never get tired of it …!
