MOV Wins the Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Division, Japanese Players' Success Stands Out #Evo2024
Final Day Kicks Off with GBVSR
Released in December 2023, GBVSR was chosen as a main EVO title for the first time.
More than 1,300 players—a number far exceeding the number of participants for "Granblue Fantasy Versus" at EVO 2022—challenged each other for the title of world's best.

The local Japanese commentators were Nakao (@WHITE_ABSOL) and Yuuchaso (@yuutyaso).
The Top 6 for the GBVSR division are as follows:
- Shinku
- IBUSHIGIN Tororo
- Vermillion
- PAR Aarondamac
- PAR Kojicoco
- Artorias
Although many skilled Japanese players participated, the level of American players was high, and Tororo was the only Japanese player to make it to the finals.

That said, Tororo faced Aarondamac in the Winners Final!
Aarondamac won after a full set, and Tororo moved to the Losers Final.

The casters analyzed the surge of American players, speculating that the adoption of rollback netcode has made online play more accessible.

As it was the final day, a large crowd had already gathered at the venue.

Kojicoco and Tororo moved on to the Losers Final.
Even after the intense full-set battle in the Winners Final, their match was once again a full set at 2-2!
